MVNO planning and support
Mobile markets in developed economies have matured and the rate of growth in some emerging markets is now beginning to slow. In an increasingly converged market place many players are anxious to enter the mobile arena but they are reluctant to commit to the higher levels of investment required to create their own network. In a mature market many prefer to establish themselves as a Virtual Mobile Network Operator. At the same time, those operators with networks can be expected to offer increasingly attractive terms to potential MVNOs as they seek out low cost revenue enhancing opportunities.
Coleago has worked with both MVNOs and their host networks. We have advised potential MVNOs on their market entry strategy as well as recommending negotiating tactics with potential host networks. Our technical consultants have supported MVNOs in designing their infrastructure light network architecture and in drafting and negotiating the comprehensive Technical Service Agreement with their host networks. For network owners we have advised on bidding tactics for winning MVNO traffic and the strategic and commercial impacts of hosting an MVNO.
